Practitioners

To Our Valued Clients:

Sky Medicine started as a conversation that serendipitously brought us together a lifetime ago. It has been a labor of love that continues to unfold. We are now husband and wife with a little one named Matilda. Whenever we get a free moment we like to head to the mountains, or if we’re really lucky, hit the open road for a camping trip!

Above all else, we share a life long interest in meditation and mindfulness. We have been blessed by so many teachers, mentors, friends and family along the way. This project is an extension of our gratitude, and we can only hope to give a little back before the next journey.

By this merit,

Brett & Sara

Brett Knowles MA, LAc, LMT

Brett is an acupuncturist, bodyworker, and somatic therapist. His practice focuses on emotional wellness, treating mental health and mood disorders. He's in private practice at Brett Knowles Acupuncture and currently offers ketamine-assisted therapy. Brett has completed his training up to the supervision phase with MAPS to provide MDMA-assisted therapy upon FDA approval. Please note he does not provide underground psychedelic therapy with MDMA or Psilocybin, which are not yet approved for clinical use outside of research settings.

I see goodness as the ground of our experience, even our shadows have their own wakefulness and purpose. Every moment is an invitation to reconnect and remember that wisdom.

My approach is contemplative, inner-directive and client centered. I believe we all have an inner healer. Each client is their own therapist; my role is to listen and support that process.

As a contemplative psychotherapist I see the inherent goodness and wakefulness in every aspect of being alive. I help my clients explore how they can honor and even find wisdom in those parts of themselves they might rather not see. I have been doing psychedelic preparation and integration work since 2007, including helping people to work with trauma or spiritual emergencies that sometimes occur in the context of medicine work. My approach is both narrative and somatic, particularly for clients working with trauma.
