Protocol

For Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy

Start Your Journey

Our protocol is designed to be personal and carried out sequentially. We will collaborate with you to find the right combination of treatments, order, flow and frequency. Typically, what most clients experience looks something like this:

  • Request Consultation

Send us a message. We offer a free 15-minute consultation by phone or in person.

  • Initial Session

This is an opportunity to meet your therapist, ask questions, clarify aspirations, and explore reasons for seeking treatment. It is a time to determine if this is the right fit for you. This is an important step in building trust, and developing a therapeutic alliance that feels right for you.

  • Meet with our Medical Prescriber

You will have the opportunity to discuss your medical history and reasons for seeking treatment. If determined to be medically safe and therapeutic, the physician and your therapist will develop a treatment plan. We will request a release of information to stay in contact with the prescriber to monitor your care.

  • Preparation/Therapy Sessions

These sessions lay the groundwork, set the stage, and prepare for the medicine journey. This is a time to explore themes, issues, and content that is relevant to one's process.

Typically we recommend 2-3 therapy sessions before a medicine session.

  • Medicine Session

This is the experiential part of the journey. Clients are encouraged to go inwards, wearing eye shades and headphones. Your therapist is there for you every step of the way, to help guide the session, and support whatever arises in your journey. Medicine sessions will alternate sequentially with integration sessions.

  • Integration

Integration allows clients to process and embody insight from their psychedelic journey. Therapy is often somatic in nature, using modalities that help bring the experience into the present.

The pacing and frequency between sessions is a collaborative process between you and your therapist.
